Hi Pack 118 families. It was great seeing so many new faces on Tuesday evening. Hopefully I didn't bore you with all of the details on procedures, but we needed to get that out of the way. Now that its done we can start focusing on have a fun and exciting year. We've got some great events coming up, some pretty soon.

On August 21 Pack 118 held a day hike at Reedy Creek Park here in Charlotte. It was a fun morning and our scouts hiked over 3 miles. Several even earned their hiking sticks. Hi Pack 118 families, and a warm welcome to our newest families. Last week’s open house was a success! We were glad to see so many friends whom we haven’t seen much over the summer, and we were certainly happy to see new faces join us as well.
As you already know by now, this Tuesday, Sept. 7, we will start our 2021-2022 year with our first pack meeting. As we usually do, we’ll start off in the scout room with our opening ceremony, following which we’ll review our procedures, answer questions, make announcements, and take a look at our calendar for the coming year. After that, scouts, current pack council members, and scout parents will break off into separate rooms and organize the dens for the coming year. Eric, Jessica, and I have already discussed what the den makeup will probably look like, and from what we see we will likely have a combined Lion/Tiger den and a combined Wolf/Bear den, Webelos, and Arrows of Light. That may change in the coming weeks since I already know of a couple more families that will be joining us later this month. For now, though, here are a few events we have coming up:
